Not our furniture, but this gives you an idea of what things will look like when we are moved in. These pictures are from the website that the house was listed on. I love the blues, but we're still
considering painting. I'm pretty
STOKED about that fireplace.

Another view of the family area. Do you see those trees out the windows? That's what Alaska calls its 'greenbelt' where they prohibit developing. It's just a forest! (until you hit the street, then there is another row of houses and then forest down to the river!)

There are two decks, one right there by the kitchen table, then one on the middle floor (below). They're about 5-6 feet wide, 4 feet deep.

This picture doesn't do the kitchen justice. I'm excited they'll be leaving all the appliances (even the washer and dryer... so we'll be selling our old ones, possibly). Katie (the wife of this cute house) said she's leaving the nice silverware organizer in the drawer (it's a nice one!), and that she'll leave the wine glass slider below the cabinets.

Our furniture is pretty similar to this room's, and our old bedroom in Del Rio was almost this same color as well. So you can imagine, we felt right at home! The basement is unfinished; we are pretty excited about this project, and have big plans for it. The second level (below all the pictured rooms) is painted with a light sage green. It's also a really nice color. I'm in no rush to paint because it's already great colors. But I always have the itch to paint, so we'll just have to see.

p.s. is it okay that i comment on this blog?
of course!! If I hated comments I would take them away. :) But I love people-feedback.
Jace! It's so cozy and nice! I'm really excited for you.
I really love the blue in the living room/kitchen. It's very similar (I think) to what I want to do in my living room in Dover. I too itch to paint - Peter hates it because I sometimes ask him to help up high and he doesn't like painting. The house is so calming in colors - I like it a lot!
Jaycie, you've done such a great job... I'm really impressed! ; )
