When we lived in Del Rio, Texas, I needed a desk so I could do homework and crafts... and anything else my heart desired a desk for. My mom said to talk to my Grandpa Barrett about how to just make one for cheap. She said with his experience in staging high-end department stores, and coming up with something stylish for next to nothing in cost, he'd probably give me a good idea. She continued to predict what he would say. One of her predictions was to buy a hollow door from a home improvement store and nail it to sawhorses. ....

look what I found on Anthropologie today. COPYCATS. ... not really, I never followed through with her idea. Even though I did go looking for these elements, I never pursued it enough. I didn't think what I could make would stand the test of time. I bought a desk from Ikea that Mark hopes doesn't stand the test of time. Maybe I'll show him this and we can finally follow through with my mom's stylish design sense. Now that I know it's 'hip.'
Simplistically perfect, right??
perfect. indeed.

That's awesome. I may look into this...you know, the less expensive version. :)
